“IL FAUT ALLER VOIR” (non-profit organisation in charge of the Biennale) — in partnership with the VIDEOFORMES festival — creates a “digital travelling notebook prize”.
● COMPETITION REGULATION
1- Themes
Works introduced during this competition must have a link with the discovery of a territory in time and space ; it can be a place (museums…) or a geographical place (France and foreign countries). The travelling notebook must be original, personal and authentic. Creations can be written in French or English.
2- Lines and criteria for selection
The submitted works should be :
a video travelling notebook ( playing time : 3 minutes maximum)
Works introduced will be selected according to the following criteria :
- creativity and originality
- quality of images and technique
- optimisation of multimedia tools
- incentive for travelling
By submitting their works, all competitors agree with presentation and distribution free of charge by the Biennale and its partners, during and after the event.
3-Selection
All the creations registered for this competition are examined by the members of IL FAUT ALLER VOIR, and the organisers of VIDEOFORMES, the art and video festival. The jury is made of members of the association “ Il Faut Aller Voir” , menbers of the festival VIDEOFORMES, former winners and guests.
4-Conditions
The artists must submit their works through a form available on the web site of The Biennale du Carnet de Voyage : HYPER-LINK "http://www.biennale-carnetdevoyage.com" http://www.biennale-carnetdevoyage.com.

The deadline to register is in October 31st, 2009 twelve o’clock. Works that did not reach us before the deadline will not be authorized to participate in this competition.
5 – Prizes and broadcasting
The price will be awarded during the 10th Biennale du carnet de Voyage at the Polydôme in Clermont-Ferrand, Friday, November 13th, 2009. The winner’s creation will be screened during the Biennale du carnet de voyage. The organisation « Il Faut Aller Voir » and the VIDEOFORMES Festival, will host the video on their respective web site.
Participation implies acceptance of the regulations.
